On Monday I quit a job I had held for about a week. In fact - I doubt most of you reading even knew I had found a part-time gig. Uh… surprise! The short version is that the job I was hired to do and the actual job I was tasked with were two completely different things. Oftentimes, jobs are so much more than what we expect; a lot of times, things shift as the world around us changes (see: jobs during Covid). But I quickly realized that it wasn’t a good fit anymore, and that it wasn’t worth the time commitment, particularly when I was already struggling to stay on top of everything else I have going on.
